So who exactly are Young Living? They are a network marketing company that's well established and popular in the health & wellness niche.
This is probably one of the most competitive niches on the planet, it seems every hour there is a new super product, pill or potion being released. Regardless of this Young Living are well established and have produced some impressive growth over the last few years.
They have developed quite an impressive product line, their main products are their essential oils, plus there are nutritional supplements, skin care products and also they have a few products developed especially for pets.
The most talked about product is the oils, they are said to be very effective and are also nurtured from the seed to bottling by the company. Young Living actually have their own farms situated in the US, France and Ecuador, this enables them to control the whole production process which guarantees a finely tuned product.
Young Living is the creation of Gary Young and he founded the company in 1993. They now have offices in Australia, Japan and the United Kingdom, although the main head quarters is in Utah. The story of how Gary Young turned to natural medicine is interesting. Apparently he was hit by a falling tree whilst he was working as a tree feller in 1973, he was subsequently confined to a wheelchair. This caused him to embark on a worldwide hunt for natural therapies and medicine which could perform the impossible. Its claimed in many reports that he was up and running a marathon by 1986 which is a remarkable recovery, which he says was due to the essential oils.
The Young Living compensation plan
There is a unilevel comp plan for this company and it will allow you to earn up to 24% retail profit on product sales, you will also be able to build a residual income by building a team of active distributors under you. You will start off as a distributor and can work your way up to the prestigious rank of Crown Diamond. Retail, enrolment, matching and team performance bonuses will pay you an immediate up front income and the generational commissions are what will pay you a passive, residual income month after month.
If you are good at recruiting and finding new prospects then you can make a lot of money with this compensation plan.
Young Living is definitely a great company to be involved with, they have a good track record, solid growth and leadership team and there is a genuine range of products. If this is your sort of deal then you can do well with it, but you need to make sure that you are able to find enough prospects to present the business opportunity to.
Most network marketing companies and sponsors will tell you to make a list of your warm market, which is usually about 100 people, call them up and hope that some of them join your business, and/or buy products. Just relying on this method wont usually work, you may or may not get any sales or signups and if you have no way to find new prospects fast then your business is just not going to take off in the way that you want.
