Remote View is the skill which enables a person to see things that are not visible to ordinary eyes. If you are aware of ESP or extra sensory perception or psychic abilities, then you would know that through this special ability one can view remotely objects, places, events, happenings and persons which has occurred in a different place or timeframe altogether.
Remote Viewing had its origin during the early 20th century where a few scientists started testing and experimenting with the phenomenon. Whether you call it an art or an ESP, remote viewing is a paranormal activity and can be categorized in to three distinct types. The first is definitely geographical. The psychic with the ability of remote viewing geographically can actually view a person or an abject or an incident and describe it with all its details from any other corner of the world.
The second factor may be said to be time. That is, the psychic can be able to remote view a person or an event which has occurred in the past or will happen in the future. For example, if a person can describe your future house, its premises and its surrounding, how your lawns are going to look, etc in the house you would be inhabiting twenty years from now, it is also a case of remote viewing.
The shield factor is the third type. It is that remote view ability which helps a psychic to see objects that are shielded from normal view, like an object in a closed room, or a product in a container, etc.
Thus, one can see how closely linked remote viewing is with other psychic powers such as clairvoyance and precognition. When one can see things which otherwise cannot be seen by normal eye sight, it is similar to clairvoyance or 'clear viewing', while when a person can see and describe future events, it is linked to precognition, or the ability to predict the future.
The ability to remote view is extremely rare and it is said that the gifted few are born with this skill. However, since the potential of remote viewing exists in all human beings, it can be said to be something that can be developed if focused upon. Making meditation a part of one's life so as to increase the control over the subconscious and thereby developing and controlling psychic abilities within, is the best way to develop the skill to remote view.
Event though remote viewing has been termed a pseudoscience by many in the world, which cannot be proved by scientific experiments , it can be defended by the very fact that many things in this world are yet to be validated by science and the abilities of the human mind being one of them.
